"Historical description of clothing and arms of the Russian troops from ancient times", compiled on the highest command: 1841-1862) Viskovatov V.V. The beginning of work on the "Description ..." dates to 1830, the reign of Emperor Nicholas I. The collected materials covered the period from the Middle Ages to January 1835 when Colonel Bibikov, this preliminary information was systematized according to types of troops and, placed in chronological order from 1700 to June 1835, subsequently stitched into six books entitled "Description of the Clothing of the Russian Army" with subheadings of parts according to types of troops. «Историческое описание одежды и вооружения Российских войск с древнейших времён», составленное по высочайшему повелению: 1841—1862) Висковатов В.В. Начало работы над «Описанием…» относится к 1830 году, в царствование императора Николая Первого. Собранные материалы охватывали период от Средневековья до января 1835 года когда полковником Бибиковым эти предварительные сведения были систематизированы по родам и видам войск и, расположенные в хронологическом порядке с 1700 по июнь 1835 года, и впоследствии сброшюрованы в шесть книг под заглавием «Описание Одежды Российского Войска» с подзаголовками частей по родам и видам войск.
