Alexandra Feodorovna, Empress of Russia as the spouse of Nicholas II from their marriage on 26 November 1894 and a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Originally Alix of Hesse and by Rhine at birth, she was given the name and patronymic Alexandra Feodorovna upon being received into the Russian Orthodox Church. She had been put to death along with her immediate family while in Bolshevik captivity in 1918 and was canonized in 2000 as Saint Alexandra the Passion Bearer. Александра Фёдоровна (Феодоровна, урождённая принцесса Виктория Алиса Елена Луиза Беатриса Гессен-Дармштадтская, нем. Victoria Alix Helena Louise Beatrice von Hessen und bei Rhein, российская императрица, супруга Николая II. Четвёртая дочь великого герцога Гессенского и Рейнского Людвига IV и герцогини Алисы, дочери британской королевы Виктории. Александра Фёдоровна была убита большевиками вместе со всей семьёй, детьми и приближёнными в ночь на 17 июля 1918 года в Екатеринбурге.
