In her on going task of translating the diaries, and other writings of the Last Russian Tsar's four daughters, from their native Russian into English, Helen Azar, along with Amanda Madru , has published the 1913 Tercentennial Diary of Tsar Nicholas II third daughter, Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna
I've been a Romanov fan for 50 years , since reading Robert K. Massie's biography " Nicholas and Alexandra." I am most grateful to Ms. Azar for her series of translations of OTMA's actual words. WordsI thought I would never have the opportunity to read. It's amazing to have OTMA's actual words along with the pictures I've looked upon for decades . 1913 was an important year. It marked the 300th year the House of Romanov ruled over Russia and it was the last full year of peace before WW1
