In May 1913, Kostroma and the Ipatiev Monastery became one of the centers celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Imperial House of Romanov. The whole family headed by Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, heir Tsesarevich Alexy, the Grand Duchess Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia, numerous relatives - the grand dukes and princesses arrived at Kostroma for the celebration.
After the meeting at the Green Gate of the Ipatiev Monastery, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and Tsesarevich Alexy proceeded to the Trinity Cathedral.
The Emperor and His Daughters after the clergy went to the Ekaterininsky Gate of the Ipatiev Monastery to meet the approaching Cross procession from Kostroma.
The emperor and His Daughters worshiped and kissed the Holy Cross and the Theodore Icon of the Mother of God.
Then the procession led by the clergy were held on the territory of the monastery.

Царская семья после поклонения Феодоровское иконе Божией Матери направляется в Троицкий собор Ипатьевского монастыря.
В мае 1913 году Кострома и Ипатьевский монастырь стали одним из центров празднования 300-летнего юбилея Императорского Дома Романовых. Все семейство во главе с Императором Николаем II, Императрицей Александрой Феодоровной, наследником Цесаревичем Алексием, Великими Княжнами Ольгой, Татьяной, Марией и Анастасией, многочисленными родственниками – великими князьями и княгинями прибыло на празднование в Кострому.
После встречи у "Зеленых ворот" Ипатьевского монастыря Императрица Александра Феодоровна и Цесаревич Алексий проследовали в Троицкий собор.
Император и Его Дочери всед за духовенством и в сопровождении придворных лиц направились к Екатериненским воротам Ипатьевкого монастыря навстречу приближавшемуся Крестному ходу из Костромы.
Крестным ходом были несены исторические реликвии московского посольства 1613 года: фонарь, крест, икона и посох; епископ Рязанский Димитрий (Сперовский) держал список Феодоровской иконы, которым инокиня Марфа благословляла своего сына Михаила Фёдоровича на царство.
После того как Имератор и Его Дочери приложились ко Святому Кресту и иконе Феодоровской иконе Божией Матери, вслед за духовенством и архиерейским хором все вернулись в монастырь.
