Summary
In celebration of the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov, the royal family traveled along the Volga. The path ran from Nizhny Novgorod to Kostroma and further up to Yaroslavl. For this, a special squadron was formed in the composition state-owned steamers "Nizhny Novgorod", "Mezhen", "Strezhen", "Ekaterina", "Oryol", as well as the large passenger ships "Emperor Alexander the Blessed", and "Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich". The royal family made this trip aboard the ship "Mezhen".

В рамках празднования 300-летия Дома Романовых царская семья совершила путешествие по Волге. Путь проходил от Нижнего Новгорода к Костроме и далее вверх до Ярославля. Для этого была сформирована специальная эскадра в составе путейских (казенных) пароходов "Нижний Новгород", "Межень", "Стрежень", "Екатерина", "Орел" а также больших пассажирских пароходов общества "Самолет" — "Император Александр Благословенный" и "Царь Михаил Федорович". Царская семья совершила это путешествие на борту парохода "Межень".
